Tour a Duo Studio at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort’s NEW Island Tower!
Today, we attended the Grand Opening Celebration of the Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort! The tower is the newest Disney Vacation Club expansion.
The celebration was full of food, music, art, meet-and-greets, and tours. And, speaking of, let’s tour one of the room types in the new tower!
Duo Studio
Let’s head over to a Duo Studio (lovingly referred to as a “pod” due to its modest space) at the Island Tower! The studio is ideal for 2 guests and has artwork inspired by the film, Moana, and the sky.
During the day, the main room acts as a living space, with a comfortable couch for lounging. Around the couch, there’s a light fixture and mirror.
The artwork above the couch shows the sun either setting or rising. (However, based on what we’re about to show you, we’re pretty sure it’s rising.)
When it’s time to sleep, the handles next to the artwork pull down to reveal the sleep area…
…as well as new artwork of a gorgeous night sky above the ocean! (We love how the artwork switches from day to night, just like the room’s furniture.)
Across the room, there’s a television, dresser, and closet space.
The kitchenette can be found directly next to the couch/bed. It includes a microwave, mini-fridge, storage space, and more!
The bathroom has just enough space for the toilet…
…and shower.
Our favorite part is the patio!
That wraps up our room tour, but we’re not totally finished yet–there are more rooms to tour! Stay tuned to MickeyBlog.com as we bring you along to the other studios and villas.
