Corra the Elephant Celebrates Her First Birthday at Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Last February, the Disney Animal Kingdom Savanna welcomed its newest star, a two-month-old African elephant named Corra.
Like her mother, the 312-pound baby elephant was born at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, making her the first second-generation elephant in the park’s history.
On the savanna, Cora joined her aunts, Stella and Luna, and her grandmother, Donna. Corra’s dad, Mac, also lives at the park.
Corra Celebrates Her Birthday!
While it seems like just yesterday that we were first introduced to Corra, today, the African elephant celebrated her first birthday.
Luckily, Dr. Mark Penning took to Instagram today to commemorate the occasion.

To celebrate Corra’s birthday, her keepers gave the elephant some of her favorite snacks, including bamboo, sweet potatoes, and peanut butter!
As you can see, the Corra really enjoyed her birthday festivities. She has gotten so big!
Where to Find Corra
Over the past year, we have seen Corra grow and achieve many milestones. From taking her first steps to trying her first solid foods, watching the young African elephant grow has been amazing!
You can find Corra and her mother on the Kilimanjaro Safaris at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. If you Corra, tell her we say hi!
