Blizzard Beach Is CLOSED Today Due to Cool Temperatures
With less than two weeks to go until Christmas, winter has descended upon much of the United States.
While November was uncharacteristically temperate, December has finally brought freezing temperatures, gusting winds, and plenty of snow.
As many of the country’s schools begin to let out for winter break, families are flocking to Walt Disney World to celebrate the holidays and have some fun in the sun.
Unfortunately, even Central Florida has been impacted by the latest cold front.
Blizzard Beach Is Closed Today
With the high at Walt Disney World set to reach just 61 degrees today, Disney has closed Blizzard Beach due to the cool temperatures.
While Disney tries to keep at least one water park open throughout the year, it is not uncommon for Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon to close more frequently during the winter.
With Typhoon Lagoon closed for refurbishment, only Blizzard Beach has been affected by cooler temperatures.
When Will the Park Reopen?
Luckily, tomorrow’s high is supposed to reach the 70s, and warmer days are on the horizon.
With that in mind, the Walt Disney World calendar shows that Blizzard Beach will reopen tomorrow and continue operating in the foreseeable future.
So, if you plan on visiting Walt Disney World over the next couple of weeks, take heart! It looks like you will be able to enjoy Blizzard Beach (and warmer weather!), just not today.
