Amazing details!
Now that we have a look at the fantastic decor and ambiance, here is everything we tried!
Delicious Appetizers
First of all, how sweet are the plates?

Heartwarming quotes about love and family are part of the details.
We started with a delicious round of tortilla chips and salsa!
And then took a closer look at the menu!
Everything was delicious, and we started with the appetizers. First up is this delicious Chicken Tortilla Soup.
It is a tomato-based soup with a really nice amount of heat. The soup has a small amount of chicken and tortilla strips on top and only a few beans. It’s a basic soup with a nice flavor that we would order again.
We then tried the Wedge Salad, which was great! The dressing is really light and refreshing, and it combines well with the burst of tomatoes, corn, and queso fresco. Delicious!
There is also Red and Green Lentil Soup, and the serving size is pretty big. It has a nice kick and is very flavorful.
This is one of the best dishes we enjoyed on the ship.
Next up is Abuelita Elena’s Shrimp Diabla. This bite was cooked perfectly with just a bit of heat. The sauce reminds us of a cocktail sauce but with a little more body and flavor.
The crostini was terrific! It was perfectly buttered and seasoned, with a great crunch and texture contrast.
The Chorizo Street Croquettes were next! These were good, with a crunchy exterior and smooth interior texture. They’re definitely tasty and a good portion size.
There’s corn and a creamy drizzle on top that gives it a nice creaminess and perfectly seasoned flavor.
The last app we had was the Toasted Pumpkin Seed and Garbanzo Bean Hummus! It was very good, but it did not have a lot of pumpkin, so not our favorite.
The hummus has a good consistency and texture, and the ice-cold cucumbers and jicama were great for dipping.
Entrees
The mouthwatering entrees were amazing. We started with the Butternut Squash Enchiladas. The squash sauce is delicious and creamy but has a strong flavor.
We really liked the nice assortment of veggies inside; however, the sauce overpowered the enchiladas.
Luisa’s Pollo Asado was a nice entree but a little overdone and under-seasoned. The pico is delicious and crunchy and has a big kick! It is a “basic” dish, and we felt that it was an ok option.
The Gemelli Pasta was another basic dish. It’s a little oily and underseasoned.
If you are craving plant-based options, the Plant Based Tacos were incredible.
The mushrooms are nice and meaty and have a really nice smokiness. The slaw gives a great crunch, making this one of our favorite dishes.
We also tried the Pasilla- Brown Sugar Rubbed Roasted Pork Tenderloin, which was perfectly tender and juicy.
The sauce had a sweet flavor and enhanced the overall dish.
The Red Capsicum and Green Parsely Grilled Snapper were a miss for us. The veggies under the fish tasted extremely fishy and oily, and the fried yucca was a little unseasoned and tasted like a basic French fry.
The fish? That was pretty “fishy”, too- this dish is a pass.
Enrique’s Port Wine Braised Beef Center Cut Short Rib was delicious and incredibly tender. The meat just falls apart with your fork!
The mashed potatoes, green beans, and onion crispies perfectly complemented the dish. This was a great combo of textures and flavors.
Decadent Desserts!
Of course, you have to save room for desserts when you are on a Disney cruise.
The Mexican Chocolate Tart featured spiced chocolate crème, caramel pecan nuts, and chocolate glaze. This was a great dessert with a chocolate crust that had a delicious, crumbly texture. The spiced chocolate crème had a little spice to it but went perfectly with the chocolate.
The Tres Leches was another great option! The cake is light and delicious, with a great milky texture. It paired well with the ice cream, and we loved it.
The Grapefruit Flan was light, sweet, and really enjoyable! It had a great texture and almost a creamy butterscotch flavor.
We also tried the Margarita Cheesecake, which was not one of our favorites! It tasted like a margarita mix blended with cheesecake.
It was very tart and had an unusual texture- Pass.
Our final offering of the night? Miguel’s “Remember Me” Sundae! This delicious treat combines cookies and cream ice cream with Oreo cookies, chocolate fudge sauce, and whipped cream!
Live Entertainment
One of the most incredible parts of Coco de Plaza is the two-night immersive dinner experience, which includes actors, singers, musicians, and more.
The first night features Miguel and his family in Mariachi Plaza for a colorful, music-filled journey that continues their story where it left off in the film. The fabulous dinner and live entertainment honor the heritage of music and love that runs deep in the Rivera family.
The second night is an all-new experience where Miguel reunites with his great-great-grandparents Hector and Mama Imelda. With the help of his magic guitar, they celebrate Dia de los Muertos—the Day of the Dead.
The show was so entertaining and we felt immediately transported into it. From the decor to the talent to the Mexican-themed food, it was one of our favorite dining experiences.
They played favorite songs from Coco, like Remember Me and Poco Loco, and even the Three Caballeros.
Overall, this is a one-of-a-kind Disney experience you must experience!
