Disneyland Park opened on July 17, 1955, which means that 2025 marks its 70th (!!) anniversary. Disney just shared all the 2025 events happening in Disneyland Resort in 2025 and we’re here to break down the anniversary details.
70th Anniversary Celebration
Disneyland’s 18-month 70th anniversary will begin on May 16, 2025, lasting through summer 2026!

World of Color Happiness!
An all-new World of Color show is coming to Disney California Adventure! Featuring clips from Inside Out, Inside Out 2, Turning Red, A Goofy Movie, Tangled, The Lion King, and more, this show will include its signature lighting, lasers, fountains, fog, flame effects, and more.

Paint the Night
Paint the Night will officially return to Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland Park for the 70th anniversary celebration, including characters from Monsters, Inc., Cars, Toy Story, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and more!

The fan-favorite fireworks show known as “Wondrous Journeys” is coming back to Disneyland for the celebration!

Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration! Parade is also returning to Disney California Adventure.

70th Anniversary Decor
In addition to the resort-wide decorations, Sleeping Beauty Castle will also receive a special 70th medallion!

In Disney California Adventure, Carthay Circle Restaurant’s exterior will hold a nightly special moment marked by music, lights, and projections. Over in Disneyland, “it’s a small world” will also receive a new projection show on its exterior!
A new song called “Celebrate Happy” has been created especially for the the anniversary, which guests will be able to hear throughout the resort.
New Mickey & Minnie Outfits
Mickey and Minnie and all their pals will be dressed for the occasion in Town Square in Disneyland Park!
