Imagineers Add Ray and Evangeline to the Final Scene of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
With the opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Disneyland, both coasts now have their own version of the Princess and the Frog-themed attraction.
While everyone’s attention has been turned to the West Coast and the newly reimagined Bayou Country, Walt Disney Imagineering was cooking up a surprise for Walt Disney World guests.
Today on Instagram, Imagineering shared a behind-the-scenes look at a new special effect added to the final scene of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.
Ray and Evangeline Join the Attraction
Now, before unloading from their logs, guests will see Ray and Evangeline sparkling high above New Orleans.
As Tiana’s Bayou Adventure takes place after the events of The Princess and the Frog, Ray is not present in the attraction in his firefly form. Instead, Imagineers have added him and Evangeline as two shining stars.
While the effect is simple, it does add charm to the final scene and gives Princess and the Frog fans a fun Easter egg to keep their eyes open for.
Here is a brief video of Imagineers calibrating the new effect and ensuring it is show-ready.

It’s nice to see that Disney is still making tweaks and additions to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, even as the attraction has only been open for a few months!
