Food Court Self-Checkout Now Testing at One Disney World Hotel
Disney World is almost always looking for ways to incorporate new technology into its parks and resorts. We’ve seen some successful innovations like mobile food ordering and mobile checkout at certain merchandise locations.
And now, it looks like Disney is testing out another new technology option!
Self-Checkout Testing
End Zone Food Court at Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort is testing out a self-checkout option for guests!
It’s only available at this dining location and it will only be testing for 30 days.
We also saw that only one register section at the food court is set up for it, the rest are still normal.
There are instructions to only place one tray at a time under the scanner, making sure your items are well separated.
The mat will remind you to separate your items out on your tray.
Then, you confirm the price.
And finally, pay using the card reader!
You can see the instructions on the top of the screen, too.
This is a very interesting new way to check out that could possibly lead to shorter lines, but we’ll have to wait and see how it goes!
