Disney+ Tells Fans to “Get Their Donuts Ready” Ahead of ‘The Simpsons Funday Football’
Monday Night Football is coming to Springfield next week for a special presentation of The Simpsons Funday Football.
Set in Springfield’s Atoms Stadium, Monday night’s matchup between the Cincinnati Bengals and Dallas Cowboys will be animated in real-time using NFL’s Next Gen Stats, Sony’s Beyond Sports, and Sony’s Hawk-Eye Innovations’ optical tracking.

Like last year’s Toy Story Funday Football, the upcoming Simpsons presentation will be set in in-universe and feature many of the franchise’s most popular characters.
Familiar Faces
Bart and Homer Simpson will get into the action for the game, suiting up for their respective teams. Additionally, Marge and Lisa will interview players during the game, while Maggie will manage the SkyCam.

The game will be called by ESPN’s Mina Kimes, Dan Orlovsky, and Drew Carter. The trio will be animated in the Simpsons’ style and experience the game from Springfield using VR technology and Sony’s Beyond Sports’ Virtual Commentator Technology.
Other Simpsons characters will also appear, including Krusty, Nelson, Milhouse, Ralph, Carl, Barney, Lenny, and Moe.

Finally, Hank Azaria, Nancy Cartwright, Dan Castellaneta, Julie Kavner, and Yeardley Smith will voice several of their characters in prerecorded bits and skits.
Disney Releases a New Promo
Ahead of the big game, Disney+ released a new promo for The Simpsons Funday Football. Fans, they said, should “get their donuts ready.”
