All the 2025 Events Confirmed For Disneyland Resort
Disney recently shared a series of big events happening in Disney World In 2025, and now it’s Disneyland’s turn!
Sleeping Beauty Castle
With 2025 marking the 70th (!!) anniversary of Disneyland, it’s shaping up to be a huge year for the resort — and now we have all the details!
70th Anniversary
First, Disneyland will kick off the 70th anniversary on May 16, 2025, with an 18-month celebration that will honor seven decades of magic! There will be limited-time entertainment, specialty food and beverages, collectible merchandise, and more.

We can expect to see colorful decor around the entire resort as well as an elegant medallion on Sleeping Beauty Castle! Mickey, Minnie, and friends will also have some new outfits in Town Square in Disneyland Park just for the occasion.

The fan-favorite “Paint the Night” parade will also return to Disneyland Park and feature stunning color, vibrant floats, and more than a million LED lights.

The nighttime spectacular “Wondrous Journeys” will also return to Disneyland once again, enhanced with fireworks on select nights!

There will also be a new character cavalcade and a new projection show on the facade of “it’s a small world.” And, created in honor of the anniversary, a new theme song called “Celebrate Happy” will be heard throughout various entertainment offerings.
At Disney California Adventure Park, you can check out the all-new nighttime spectacular, “World of Color Happiness!” This new show is inspired by Walt Disney’s words from the opening day park dedication — “To all who come to this happy place…welcome!”

At night, the outside of Carthay Circle Restaurant will invite everyone to “celebrate happy” during a special moment filled with lights, music, and projection effects.
We will also see the return of the “Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration!” parade at California Adventure.

And, once the fall and holiday seasons roll around, “Wondrous Journeys” and “Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration!” parade will temporarily pause to make way for seasonal Halloween and Holidays entertainment offerings, then resume at a later time.
More New Things in 2025
“Walt Disney – A Magical Life” will open up at the Main Street Opera House theater at Disneyland Park on May 16th, 2025! This attraction will have a cinematic presentation of Walt Disney’s journey, which ends in a visit with Walt in his office, which, for the first time ever, will be told through the magic of Audio-Animatronics storytelling.

Also happening in 2025 is construction beginning on the expansion of Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure Park. Because of this, the last date for guests to ride Red Car Trolley will be February 8th, 2025.

The Downtown Disney District will continue its transformation in 2025, with more dining and shopping being added, like the Disney Wonderful World of Sweets shop and Parkside Market dining hall, which are scheduled to open in early 2025.

2025 Festivals, Events, and Limited-Time Celebrations
Disney has shared a more detailed look at all of the festivals, events, and limited-time celebrations coming to Disneyland Resort in 2025.
First up, Lunar New Year will happen at Disney California Adventure Park from January 17th through February 16th. There will be offerings inspired by Chinese, Vietnamese, and Korean traditions to ring in the Year of the Snake.
Mickey and Minnie Mouse will also debut some brand-new outfits with representations of traditional Korean attire.

Other offerings include the “Hurry Home – A Lunar New Year Celebration” water short, “Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession” on select days, daily live musical performances, and Asian-inspired menu items across six Lunar New Year marketplaces and select dining locations.
Anaheim Ducks Day will take place on January 24th, 2025 at California Adventure! You will be able to enjoy a cavalcade, appearances by select Anaheim Ducks players, themed games, and more. Then, check out Anaheim Ducks Day Overtime at the Downtown Disney District where there will be a fan zone with entertainment, fun activities, and photo opportunities.

Celebrate Gospel at Disneyland Park is happening on February 8th and 15th! This has been a resort tradition for more than a decade, so the annual concert will return with performances by community choirs from across Southern California and award-winning artists.

The Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival will return from February 28th to April 21st! There will be ten marketplaces, including two with new themes. You can also expect live entertainment and the return of fan-favorites such as Chef Goofy, bookable culinary experiences, and Soarin’ Over California.
2024 DCA Food & Wine Festival
Season of the Force at Disneyland Park will take place from March 28th through May 11th. “Fire of the Rising Moons” will be performed every night in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge with new projection effects and galactic music, enhanced with fireworks on select nights. And, Hyperspace Mountain will return to Tomorrowland!

Disney Jr. Let’s Play! Party (Summer) is a one-day event at California Adventure and two-day event at Downtown Disney that’s set to return with entertainment, Disney Jr. character encounters, and activities that families with young children will enjoy!

Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort will take place from August 22nd through October 31st! There will be themed attractions, not-so-scary entertainment, and fall-inspired food and beverages.

Plaza de la Familia at Disney California Adventure Park will happen from August 22nd through November 2nd. Pixar’s Coco is brought to life at this celebration of the everlasting bonds of family and the spirit of Día de Los Muertos.

Holidays at the Disneyland Resort will happen from November 14th 2025 through January 7th 2026. We can expect to see sparkling wintry décor, festive entertainment, and more throughout the whole resort.
And, Disney Festival of Holidays returns to California Adventure during this time! It will feature specialty menu items, live entertainment, and family activities inspired by the diverse season of celebrations in Southern California.
After-Hours,Separately Ticketed Events Return in 2025
A bunch of after-hours separately ticketed events will be returning in 2025! They feature pre-party park mix-in, shorter wait times for select attractions, unique entertainment, themed food and beverages, and unlimited Disney PhotoPass digital photo downloads from the event.

Disneyland After Dark events are returning! Here are the themes and details for the events in 2025:
- Sweethearts’ Nite (January 21st, 23rd, 28th; February 4th, 6th, 9th, 11th, 13th): Couples, friends and families alike can celebrate love with a new cavalcade on Main Street, U.S.A., a Royal Ball, encounters with character couples, and lively music. A select number of pre-sale tickets for Sweethearts’ Nite will go on sale for Inspire Magic Key holders beginning December 10th, 2024, and all Magic Key holders beginning December 11th, 2024. Tickets go on sale to the general public beginning December 12th, 2024. All tickets will be on sale no earlier than 9AM PT on Disneyland.com, and are limited and subject to availability.
- 90s Nite (March 4th and 6th): Dance parties, sing-alongs, and more celebrate Disney films, music, and pop culture from this iconic decade. “90s on Parade” will have nods to past parades, such as “The Lion King Celebration” and “Mulan Parade.” A select number of pre-sale tickets for 90s Nite will go on sale for Inspire Magic Key holders beginning December 10th, 2024, and all Magic Key holders beginning December 11th, 2024. Tickets go on sale to the general public beginning December 12th, 2024. All tickets will be on sale no earlier than 9AM PT on Disneyland.com, and are limited and subject to availability.
- Star Wars Nite (April 8th, 10th, 22th, 24th, 29th; May 1st, 4th, 6th): Galactic adventures await with appearances by Star Wars characters from the Light and Dark sides of the Force, unique gatherings, and out-of-this-world photo opportunities. Ticket sale details will be announced at a later time.
- Pride Nite (June 16th and 18th): This celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community brings allies and community members together to enjoy rainbow projections, colorful décor, fabulous entertainment, and more. Ticket sale details will be announced at a later time.

Oogie Boogie Bash — A Disney Halloween Party is also returning to Disney California Adventure in 2025! You are invited to dress up in costume to enjoy a night full of family-friendly tricks and treats. In 2025, the party will offer more nights than ever before with 31 different dates:
- August 17th, 19th, 21st, 24th, 26th, 28th, 31st
- September 2nd, 9th, 11th, 14th, 16th, 18th, 21st, 23rd, 25th, 28th, 30th
- October 2nd, 5th, 7th, 9th, 12th, 14th, 16th, 19th, 21st, 23rd, 26th, 28th, 31st
