The Fossil Fun Games Are Running Out of Dinosaur Plushes as the Attraction’s Closure Nears
If you are a fan of DinoLand U.S.A. at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, then you know that the land’s countdown to extinction has begun.
While guests will have all of 2025 to visit the Dino Institute for a spin on DINOSAUR, that is not true for Chester and Hester’s Dino-Rama. As we previously reported, the carnival area inside DinoLand is closing soon.
With the Fossil Fun Games set to permanently close on January 13, 2025, the fan-favorite carnival games have begun to run out of DinoLand-specific prizes.
The Prizes Were Restocked in October
In late October, we were thrilled to see that the Fossil Fun Games had been restocked with dinosaur plushes. Even as the attraction was getting ready to close, Disney wanted to ensure that the plush prizes matched DinoLand’s theme.
However, from the looks of things, the October restock was the end of the line for the dinosaur plush.
The stock has now been largely depleted, and the Fossil Fun Games are now using nuiMOs and other Disney plush as prizes.
As you can see, there are still some dinosaur plush in stock. However, they are quickly going extinct.
At Comet Crashers, only the larger dinos remain.
For now, guests can choose between a dinosaur plush or a generic Disney plush.
So, if you have dreamed of finally winning a DinoLand prize at the Fossil Fun Games, do so before it’s too late!
