Disney’s New Headquarters Welcomes Its First Employees in New York City
The Walt Disney Company is celebrating the opening of its new headquarters in New York City.
Located at 7 Hudson Square, Disney’s New York base of operations has already welcomed its first employees and, according to Disney, will be home to news, editorial, live productions, streaming, technology, advertising, corporate, business support functions, and more by next summer.

The new state-of-the-art building serves as a testament to Disney’s commitment to New York City’s economy and will be used as a collaborative hub for media, production, and innovation.
The Robert A. Iger Building
The New York City headquarters is officially named the Robert A. Iger Building. Disney and its board of directors bestowed the honor in recognition of Bob Iger’s 50-year career with the company.

As the CEO started at ABC in New York, the building’s name is apropos.

At 7 Hudson Square, Disney employees will enjoy collaboration and amenity spaces alongside best-in-class shared services.

Eventually, the building will welcome hundreds of guests daily for tapings of ABC programs, including The View and Good Morning America.

Among the building amenities at 7 Hudson Square are a full-service cafe and coffee bar, outdoor terraces, wellness rooms, conference centers, a screen room, a reading room, a bike room, a company store, and more.

As part of Disney’s 2030 environmental goals, the New York City headquarters is all-electric and features on-site solar panels, high-efficiency dedicated outside air systems, high-performance facades, waste heat recovery, and electric pumps.
Disney’s Commitment to New York City
Just one year ago, many wondered if Disney would divest itself of ABC. Such a move would not only have radically changed the face of linear television but also largely removed Disney from New York City.
