2025 Confirmed to Be the Last Year to Ride DINOSAUR in Disney’s Animal Kingdom
In case you missed it, Disney’s Animal Kingdom is in for some big changes over the next few years.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Announced at the D23 Expo, Disney will be reimagining one Animal Kingdom land into an entirely new theme known as Tropical Americas. While we’re excited to experience some new things, we’re also sad to say goodbye to some favorites — and now we have an update about DINOSAUR!
2025 and DINOSAUR
Disney has confirmed that 2025 will be the last year to ride DINOSAUR before it goes extinct!
Based on their wording, we predict that DINOSAUR will be closing sometime in early 2026, but they have yet to confirm an official closing date.

DINOSAUR
DINOSAUR will be closing to make way for the new Tropical Americas land, which will reimagine the ride with an Indiana Jones theme similar to Indiana Jones Adventure in Disneyland Park.

The Tropical Americas land will take over what is currently known as DinoLand U.S.A.

The reimagined land is also expected to feature a fictional town called Pueblo Esperanza, an Encanto-themed ride including the Madrigal Family and Casita, and an animal-themed carousel.

While construction in the area has already begun, the new Tropical Americas land is expected to open in 2027.
In terms of closures, Disney recently confirmed that TriceraTop Spin, the Fossil Fun Games, and Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures will permanently close on January 12, 2025.
