Disney CFO Hugh Johnston to Participate in The UBS Global Media And Communications Conference
The Walt Disney Company announced today that CFO Hugh Johnston will participate in a question-and-answer session at the UBS Global Media and Communications Conference on December 9, 2024, at 1:30 PM ET.
According to a press release, the appearance will mark “an important opportunity for investors to gain insights into Disney’s financial strategy and outlook.”
Here is the latest.
All Eyes Will Be on Johnston
While investors and fans alike welcome any chance to hear from Disney’s CFO, Johnston’s upcoming appearance will hold extra importance as Disney is currently searching for Bob Iger’s successor, managing an ever-changing media environment, and perhaps having its most successful year at the box office ever.
As Disney’s Chief Financial Officer, Johnston reports directly to Bob Iger, leading the company’s worldwide finance organization. His purview includes corporate real estate, corporate strategy and business development, enterprise controllership, enterprise technology, financial planning and analysis, global product and labor standards, global security, investor relations, risk management, tax, and treasury.
Since joining The Walt Disney Company in November 2023, Johnston has been lauded by investors and analysts alike for the direction that Disney is currently heading in.
Still, the UBS Global Media and Communications Conference comes at a time when all eyes are on Disney’s executive suite. The pressure will be on Johnston to perform.
The Session Will be Streamed Live
Hugh Johnston’s question-and-answer session will be streamed live at disney.com/investors. A recording will also be archived on the company’s website.
