Disney Reveals Full Name For Magic Kingdom’s Upcoming ‘Disney Starlight’ Parade
At D23: The Ultimate Fan Event last August, Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D’Amaro announced that a new nighttime parade would be coming to Magic Kingdom in 2025.
At the time, Disney revealed that the new procession would be called Disney Starlight and would build on the legacy of the Main Street Electrical Parade, using the latest technology to tell classic Disney stories.
Fans were understandably excited as the Magic Kingdom has been bereft of a year-round nighttime parade since the Main Street Electrical Parade ended its run in 2016.
‘Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away’
Since the initial Disney Starlight announcement, more details have continued to trickle in. At D23: Brazil earlier, D’Amaro again took the stage to preview the parade. This time, the Dinsey Experiences chairman previewed the Moana float set to debut in the parade.
During tonight’s The Wonderful World of Disney: Holiday Spectacular, Disney previewed the Magic Kingdom’s upcoming parade, revealing that the full name of the procession will be Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away.
“Disney Starlight is a constellation of Disney dreams brought to life by the magic of the Blue Fairy,” show director Tara Anderson said.
“We’re taking this idea of a magical constellation of wishes and dreams and weaving it throughout the parade, uniting our stories with a touch of hope and wonder.”
With Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away set to premiere next summer, fans will have to wait a little bit longer to see Disney’s vision come to life.
I, for one, could not be more excited!
