Yesterday, for example, we reported on the new Spaceship Earth gingerbread display had debuted in CommuniCore Hall.
An Awe-Inspiring Gingerbread Display
The gingerbread display, a new addition to the Festival of the Holidays, was awe-inspiring. Just like the real Spaceship Earth, the gingerbread creation illuminates. Every 15 minutes, a short light show is performed!
While the gingerbread Spaceship Earth display was impressive enough on its own, a new video shared by Disney sheds more light on the hard work, creativity, and skill that went into making it come to life.
Disney bakery artisans spent over 160 hours piecing together thousands of gingerbread triangles to create Spaceship Earth. Additionally, they used 240 pounds of honey dough, 100 eggs, 100 ounces of Lebkuchen spice, 55 points of dark chocolate, and 100 pounds of royal icing.
