It’s a beautiful day for a festival, and fans are out in full force for the FIRST day of EPCOT’s 2024 International Festival of the Holidays!
In case you missed it, EPCOT’s Festival of the Holidays kicks off today, November 29th, and runs through December 30th, 2024, bringing incredible entertainment, exclusive merchandise, and TONS of delicious food to the park!
Our MickeyBlog team has spent the day sampling festive fare from around the “world,” including Shanghai Holiday Kitchen and Holiday Hearth Desserts.
Now, it’s time to indulge in some classic American favorites at the American Holiday Table.
Let’s check it out!
American Holiday Table
Located at The American Adventure pavilion, American Holiday Table serves up classic holiday flavors and festive holiday vibes.
The menu includes American favorites like Slow-Roasted Turkey with stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans, and cranberry sauce.
You’ll also find several varieties of beer, including Crooked Can Brewing Company Bah HOPbug IPA, 3 Daughters Brewing Eggnog White Porter, Playalinda Brewing Co. Peppermint Chocolate Stout, and a beer flight that gives you a taste of each!
We started with the Slow-roasted Turkey ($6.25).
The turkey is extremely moist, so we were really excited to get TWO pieces! Topped with cranberry sauce, crispy onion, and gravy, this one is full of classic holiday flavors.
The turkey also comes with mashed potatoes, green beans, and stuffing. While we found the mashed potatoes a bit dry, the stuffing was extremely flavorful and moist.
Next up, we tried the Blackened Catfish ($6.75), which is served with Hoppin’ John and Comeback sauce.
Visually, this dish looks AMAZING, but we were unfortunately a bit underwhelmed.
The catfish itself was tender and tasty. However, the rice tasted slightly undercooked and the fish was under-seasoned.
The green beans are a nice addition, but in the end, we wished the sauce was a bit thicker and the spice level was higher.
Finally, we rounded things out with the sweet SNICKERS-Doodle Cookie ($3.25)! Stay tuned for our review of this sweet treat once we complete the Cookie Stroll.
