REVIEW: Tuscany Holiday Kitchen is Plain But Cozy at EPCOT’s Festival of the Holidays
Greetings from EPCOT, everyone, where we’re celebrating the first day of the 2024 EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays!
The air is joyful, the guests are merry, and there are so many exciting experiences to be had all around. Right now, our MickeyBloggers are enjoying a festive feast around the World Showcase, where each holiday marketplace booth offers a menu of unique international treats to try.
Our next stop is here within the Italy pavilion. Come with us, and let’s say “buon natale” to Tuscany Holiday Kitchen!
Food Menu
Let’s check out this menu!
There are three items available here at Tuscany Holiday Kitchen, so let’s see what’s cooking.
First is the Montanara, which is a fried, house-made pizza dough topped with pomodoro sauce, parmesan cheese, and fresh basil.
This cost $9 and sounded too good to miss, so we placed an order to try it out.
Let’s dig in!
According to our reporters, these dough balls were light and ever-so-slightly crispy, smothered in a tasty tomato sauce.
They were good, but not really anything special. If you don’t want anything too adventurous at this year’s festival, this option from Tuscany would be a good shout!
Moving on to the sweet stuff. First is the Dolce Pizza, or “sweet pizza,” consisting of a sugar and cinnamon-topped, fried, house-made pizza dough. This cost $7.50.
The third menu item is actually new for 2024, and that’s the Panettone. This one, we had to try!
This is a delicious bread pudding made from Panettone, served with vanilla cream.
It cost $7.
Overall we found this dessert very warming, with those holiday spices really shining through from the panettone. The vanilla cream was sweet, and the entire pudding was deliciously moist and flavorful throughout.
The raspberry on top was an adorable finishing touch, too!
To Drink
There are quite a few tipples to enjoy here at Tuscany Holiday Kitchen this year!
We’ve got Prosecco, Moscato, Chianti and Italian Red Sangria offerings, as well as an Italian-inspired Margarita, consisting of tequila, triple sec, and limoncello. There’s Peroni Pilsner for the beer drinkers, and then a festive-sounding Bombardino Freddo, which combines Italian brandy with creamy eggnog.
Will you be trying any of these out this year?
Thanks for joining us as we enjoyed a festive taste of Italy here at Tuscany Holiday Kitchen!
Be sure to follow along with MickeyBlog as we sample plenty more international treats here at the 2024 EPCOT Festival of the Holidays. It’s certainly the merriest time here at Walt Disney World!
