REVIEW: Nochebuena Cocina Holiday Kitchen at EPCOT’s Festival of the Holidays
The holiday season is in full swing in Disney World! There are a ton of decorations, new merchandise is everywhere, holiday parties are happening, and the Festival of the Holidays is starting today in EPCOT!
We’re at the festival to check everything out, like all of the fun food! Let’s head over to one of the Holiday Kitchens to see what it has to offer.
Nochebuena Cocina
Nochebuena Cocina is located in between the World Showcase and the Imagination! Pavilion.
There’s only one new item on the menu here this year (a new beer!), the rest are returning. Here’s a look at the menu:
Starting with food, we grabbed the returning Pastelón for $5.75. It’s sofrito-marinated beef with sweet plantains and olives.
This was savory with the beef being tender and the olives adding a nice amount of salt to the dish! The melted cheese on top was a little to dry for us though — it was tough to cut through.
We also got the Cinnamon-spiced Chocolate Crinkle Cookie for $3.25. This is one of the cookies on the Holiday Cookie Stroll!
We’ll be reviewing this with the other cookies, so stay tuned for that!
The other food item available here is the Plant-based Chorizo Tamal with cotija and spicy red chile sauce for $5.75.
The drinks on the menu include the non-alcoholic Ponche Navideño, which is a Christmas punch with apple, pears, guava, oranges, dried hibiscus, brown sugar, tamarind, cinnamon sticks, and cloves served warm for $4.
We tried this one last year and we absolutely loved it! It has a lot of apple flavor with hints of that orange and cinnamon — it’s subtly sweet and warmly spiced.
Finally, there is a new beer on the menu — the Mexican Hot Chocolate Milk Stout from Left Hand Brewing Co. You can get a 6 oz. pour for $5.75 or a 12 oz. pour for $9.75.
Stay tuned for more from EPCOT’s Festival of the Holidays!
