Review
While we’d love to try it all, we’re only here for the Sushi Tree Roll and Mochi Donut Wrap. (A snack and treat–the best combination!)
We started with the Sushi Tree Roll which was $7.50. It’s a Christmas tree-shaped sushi roll with krab meat and cream cheese topped with ikura salmon roe and spicy mayo. (How festive is this snack?!)
The sushi was super fresh, soft, and perfectly cooked–everything you’d hope for! It tasted like a California Roll–just with crab meat and cream cheese. The spicy mayo was a great topping and wasn’t overpoweringly spicy. We’d definitely get this one again!
We finished with a Mochi Donut Wrap for $6.50. It’s a soft, chewy fusion pastry served with strawberry, whipped cream, strawberry sauce, and sweet red beans wrapped with “gyuhi” rice cake sheet.
The rice sheet was slightly sweet and very chewy–almost gummy. The strawberry sauce and red beans balanced out the sweet dough nicely.
Overview
Overall, these are solid options at the festival! We would (and will) come back for more bites at this holiday kitchen!
If that sounds good, head to the holiday kitchen through December 30th to dig into some items! And we’ll keep bringing you the latest from the resort and this festival, so stay tuned to MickeyBlog.com.
