REVIEW: Is the Bavaria Holiday Kitchen Worth a Visit at EPCOT’s Festival of the Holidays?
It’s the first day of the 2024 EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, and the park is abuzz with excitement!
The popular event — which runs NOW through December 30th — features exclusive festival merchandise, INCREDIBLE holiday entertainment, unique photo ops, and dazzling attraction overlays.
But if you’re anything like me, you’re MOST impressed by the staggering array of festive outdoor kitchens.
Of course, all of EPCOT’s festivals are popular for their fabulous food and creative cuisine – but there’s something EXTRA special about sampling traditional holiday fare from all around the world. This year, we’re even getting TWO brand-new booths!
So as the festival kicks off today, our team is coming to you LIVE as we taste-test our way through EPCOT’s most magical celebration!
We’ve already tried Shanghai Holiday Kitchen and Holiday Hearth Desserts. Now, we’re heading over to the Germany pavilion to sample the goods at Bavaria Holiday Kitchen!
Let’s check it out!
Bavaria Holiday Kitchen
Located conveniently next to the Germany pavilion, the Bavaria Holiday Kitchen is a returning fan favorite.
Here’s a look at the menu, which features three food items and six beverages:
We started with the Cheese Fondue in a Bread Bowl ($8.50). Served on a fluffy roll, the sharp cheese mixes well with the cooked carrots, baby zucchini, and potatoes.
The texture of the cheese was a little bit grainy, but overall, this one is a win.
Next up was the savory Pork Schnitzel ($6.75). While the schnitzel was tender and tasty, the spaetzle was a bit on the tough side.
Still, the highlight of this dish is the delicious mushroom sauce.
It’s unbelievably rich with noticeable notes of red wine. The sweet red cabbage is the perfect topper, making the Pork Schnitzel another solid festival food choice.
Finally, we indulged our sweet tooth with the Hazelnut Linzer Cookie ($3.25). We’ll have a review of this later when we complete the Cookie Stroll!
Overall, we’d call Bavaria Holiday Kitchen a WIN at EPCOT’s 2024 Festival of the Holidays!
