Disney Treasure’s First Port of Call to Tortola with BVI Culture and Disney Magic
The Disney Treasure’s first port of call to the beautiful island of Tortola in the British Virgin Islands this week.
Aboard Disney Cruise Line’s newest and most enchanting ship, were 2,978 guests and 1,713 crew members ashore to celebrate the magic of Disney and the vibrant culture of the British Virgin Islands.
A Warm Welcome in Tortola
To honor this momentous occasion, local tourism officials hosted a traditional plaque exchange ceremony with Disney Treasure’s Captain Marco Nagara.
This symbolic gesture not only celebrated the ship’s arrival but also highlighted the strong partnership between Disney Cruise Line and the BVI, which promises continued collaboration as the ship makes multiple stops during the cruising season.
Guests aboard the Disney Treasure were greeted with royal fanfare, including a mini parade organized by local officials. Visitors had the chance to immerse themselves in the island’s warm hospitality, vibrant cultural showcases, and breathtaking scenery.
Many disembarked to explore Tortola’s local treasures through tours and excursions, supporting local businesses, including tour guides, artisans, and taxi operators.
