Tiger Tuesday: What’s Baby Bakso Up To This Week?
Have you met Baby Bakso yet? If not, allow me to introduce you!

In case you missed it, an ADORABLE new baby tiger was born at Disney’s Animal Kingdom back in October!
Baby Bakso is amongst the newest generation of Sumatran tigers, an endangered species with only 600 specimens left in the wild and managed care.

Since his birth, the curious cub has been hanging out behind the scenes with his mom Sohni as the pair prepares to join the Maharajah Jungle Trek sometime in the next 18 months.

Luckily, Disney is giving us the chance to follow Bakso’s journey through a series of video updates called Tiger Tuesday!

Baby Bakso’s First Check Up
In Episodes 1 and 2 of Tiger Tuesday (available on YouTube), the adorable tiger cub showed off his playful personality and received his first check-up!

At nearly 8 weeks old, Bakso weighed just over 10 pounds. His veterinarians were very pleased with his overall health!
Episode 3
In Episode 3, we follow along as the cub explores his backstage home, which functions as a tiger-friendly playroom. Bakso is gaining a bit of independence, but still sticks rather close to his mom, Sohni.

Bakso busily explores a new sensory experience: scent enrichment! The playful cub loves smelling, scratching, and laying in the aromatic lemongrass.
For a young tiger cub, new experiences like this are important to his growth and development as he discovers all of his senses!
