REVIEW: Favorites of Festivals Past Booth Opens EARLY at EPCOT’s Festival of the Holidays
It’s almost time for the 2024 EPCOT Festival of the Holidays! We’re at the park today to check out preparations for the festival, from the food booths to the decorations.
And, a new booth has actually opened up EARLY over at CommuniCore Plaza — let’s go check it out!
Favorites of Festivals Past
Favorites of Festivals Past is a new Holiday Kitchen located at the Festival Favorites spot outside of CommuniCore Hall in CommuniCore Plaza. It focuses on fan-favorite dishes from past EPCOT festivals!
The festival doesn’t officially start until Friday, November 29th, but this booth has opened up early and is serving up some holiday favorites.
Here’s a look at the menu:
We started off with the Reuben Croquettes with pastrami, sauerkraut, and Swiss cheese with thousand island dipping sauce for $6.
We really loved these! The outside of the croquettes are fried perfectly — they’re crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside.
The combination of the pastrami, sauerkraut, and cheese inside is amazing. The cheese is gooey and the flavors pair well together.
We’d definitely come back and get these as a snack. They’re a great value and a nice item to share!
We also tried the Bauducco Panettone Holiday Trifle with eggnog custard and cranberry cherry compote for $5.25.
This dessert is SO festive for the holidays! The eggnog custard is creamy, decadent, and delicious.
The cranberry cherry compote has small pieces of cranberries in it and it tastes fresh without being overly sweet.
There are also some sugared cranberries on top which really add to the overall festive vibes!
The panettone was moist and it paired great with the custard and compote. We highly recommend this one if you’re looking for a dessert at the festival!
The other food item available here is the Brown Sugar and Mustard-glazed Ham Sliders with cranberry and apple coleslaw on a Hawaiian roll for $6.
And, you can get a bunch of fun drinks here!
There’s the Southern Tier Brewing Co. Tiramisu Imperial Stout, Keel Farms Pecan Pie Hard Cider, and Point Snow Pilot Pistachio Nut Brown Ale, which are each $5.75 for a 6 oz. pour or $9.75 for a 12 oz pour. Or, get all three of them in a beer flight for $10.25!
Overall, this is a fun, unique booth with some great options if you’re hungry.
