PHOTOS: The Little Man of Disneyland Decorates For Christmas
With the holiday season now in full swing at Disneyland, we have continued to see the resort come alive with festive fun and holiday cheer.
Over the last couple of weeks, we have brought you updates on the merry entertainment, sweet treats, and awe-inspiring decor that have popped up as the Happiest Place on Earth prepares for the most wonderful time of the year.
Now, however, I want to turn your attention back to Disneyland Park, where a special holiday vignette has arrived!
The Little Man of Disneyland
Deep in the heart of Adventureland lives Patrick Begorra, aka the Little Man of Disneyland.
Originally introduced in a 1955 Little Golden Book released to promote the opening of Disneyland, Patrick Begorra is a Leprechaun who lived inside the orange groves of Anaheim. One morning, he saw Mickey, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto walking by the construction tools in hand.

Angry at the noisy disruption, Patrick asked the gang what they were doing.
Eventually, Mickey and his friends took Patrick on a helicopter ride to Walt Disney Studio, where he saw the plans for Disneyland. After seeing Walt’s plans, Begorra agreed to allow construction on the park to continue.

In return, the Leprechaun asked to be allowed to choose a new home for himself in Adventureland, where he has resided ever since!

Patrick Has Decorated
To this day, you can visit Patrick Begorra’s house near the queue for Indiana Jones Adventure!
This holiday season, Patrick has decorated. As you can see, holly and wreaths now adorn outside of the Leprechaun’s house.
How festively fun!
So, if you plan on visiting Disneyland this holiday season, stop by Adventureland and pay Patrick a visit. Make sure you tell him we say hi!
