Great news for any “brickheads” out there on the west coast – the LEGO Store has reopened at Disneyland!

After its period of closure, we’re thrilled to see that the Downtown Disney store is once again open for business. After all, the store is a true staple (ahem, building block) of guest’s shopping experience here in the District!
The re-opening announcement came via social media, where Downtown Disney excitedly reported that the LEGO Master Builders had been “hard at work” on the store’s new look. This includes new interior enhancements, fresh new builds for guests to marvel at and, apparently, more coming soon!
Despite all this, it is worth noting that, at the time of writing, the LEGO Store is still marked as “temporarily closed for refurbishment” on the LEGO website. We’re sure that’ll be updated nice and soon!
Of course, this shop’s refurbishment is all part of the ongoing transformation of the Downtown Disney District, which you can read more about in our recent post here.
Back in October, guests visiting Downtown Disney were able to take part in a fun experience hosted by LEGO, where they were invited to build their own miniature version of Sleeping Beauty Castle. We loved seeing that guests could still enjoy LEGO despite the store’s closure, and love how the brand has truly integrated itself in Disney magic.
If you’re a LEGO fan yourself, you can check out our roundup of this year’s LEGO advent calendar offerings here. We’re also loving the new Nightmare Before Christmas set which dropped back in the fall.
Thank goodness this LEGO Store has reopened in enough time for us to do our Christmas shopping, that’s what we say!
