Swedish Actor Allan Svensson, Who Dubbed the Voice of Some of Disney’s Biggest Stars, Has Passed Away
Swedish star Allan Svensson, who helped give voice to many of Pixar’s most famous characters, has passed away at the age of 73 after a battle with prostate cancer.
Born February 16, 1951, in Stockholm, Sweden, Svensson rose to fame as an actor on stage, screen, and television. While he continued to appear on camera throughout his career, Svensson eventually became best known for providing the dubbed Swedish voice for many of Disney and Pixar’s biggest stars.

Voiceover Work For Disney and Pixar
Svensson’s voiceover work began in 1986 when he provided the Swedish voice for Tiger in An American Tail and Fidget in The Great Mouse Detective.
His work with Disney would continue over the next decade and a half, including roles such as Einstein in Oliver & Company, Percival C. McLeach in The Rescuers Down Under, and Pacha in The Emperor’s New Groove.

At the dawn of the new millennium, Svensson’s work continued. Linking up with Pixar, he provided the voice for Sulley in Monsters, Inc. and Mr. Incredible in both Incredibles films. He would later reprise his role as Sulley for Monsters University.
Other notable roles that Svensson dubbed included Eli “Big Daddy” Labouff in The Princess and the Frog, Lord Dingwall in Brave, and The Mighty Eagle in The Angry Birds franchise.
The News Was Shared By Svensson’s Daughter-In-Law
News of Svensson’s passing was shared by his daughter-in-law Linda van den Tempel, who revealed that the actor had been in a nursing home outside of Stockholm since last year.

“He fell asleep quietly and peacefully. It was expected, he was sick with prostate cancer,” she told the Swedish outlet Expressen.
Allan Svensson was just 73 years old.
