Dunk the Halls: Disney, ESPN, and the NBA Bring Holiday Magic to Basketball
Get ready, basketball fans! This Christmas, Disney, ESPN, and the NBA are teaming up for Dunk the Halls—the first-ever real-time animated NBA game using Sony’s Beyond Sports technology.

Disney
This groundbreaking event, airing on December 25th at noon on ESPN2, Disney+, and ESPN+, will reimagine the Knicks vs. Spurs game as if it’s happening on Main Street, U.S.A., in Magic Kingdom.
Mickey, Guest Stars, and More
Your favorite Disney characters, including Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, and more, will cheer on the animated versions of the Knicks and Spurs players.
Even Santa makes an appearance.

Disney
An animated Drew Carter and Monica McNutt will provide commentary, and Daisy Duck will serve as a sideline reporter.
Carter and McNutt will be animated in the style of the telecast and wear ESPN Edge Innovation Partner’s Meta Quest Pro headsets to experience the game from “Main Street, USA.”

Disney
In addition to the virtual, live recreation, fans can expect a Disney character slam dunk contest during halftime, Elves operating the cameras, plenty of Christmas fun, and more magical surprises.
Coming Soon
The combination of cutting-edge technology and Disney storytelling brings this new experience to life and continues the well-documented history of innovation between ESPN, the NBA, and the Walt Disney Company.
Whether you’re a basketball fan or a Disney enthusiast, Dunk the Halls will deliver a holiday celebration like no other. Don’t miss the fun on Christmas day at noon ET. Fans can experience all of the games on ESPN 2, ESPN+, and Disney+.
