It’s time to officially welcome the Disney Treasure into the Disney Cruise Line fleet!

Today is the day for the Disney Treasure’s christening ceremony, a maritime tradition to mark the launch of a ship’s active service and wish it safety and good fortune. While there is a way to livestream the christening, MickeyBlog is also there to bring you all the news firsthand!

After making its way from the Netherlands to Port Canaveral to Nassau, the Disney Treasure docked in New York City at the Manhattan Cruise Terminal, ready for its christening ceremony.
MickeyTravels was invited to attend the ceremony, and we couldn’t be more excited.

At the port, invited guests were treated to a red carpet.

Inside, the decor was reminiscent of the Magic Carpet from Aladdin.
In case you missed it, the Grand Hall of the Disney Treasure is inspired by the land of Agrabah from Aladdin.
