Disney World Lowers the Lightning Lane Premier Pass Price Range on Select Dates
A new era in Walt Disney World history began last month when the resort launched the new Lightning Lane Premier Pass.
The Lightning Lane Premier Pass is an exclusive benefit available to guests staying at Walt Disney World Deluxe Resorts, Deluxe Villa Resorts, and other hotels. This pass provides a one-time entry to each Lightning Lane attraction at one of Disney World’s four theme parks, offering a convenient way to enjoy some of the most popular experiences without the wait.

As an added bonus, guests do not need to schedule their arrival for each Lightning Lane attraction. They can simply show up and enter the Lightning Lane queue.
The Initial Premier Pass Price Ranges
While fans were excited to have a new way to “plus” their Walt Disney World vacation, the arrival of the Lightning Lane Premier Pass was also met with skepticism due to its high price point.
At the time, Disney revealed that the price range for the new Lightning Lane tier would be as follows:
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom: $129-$199 plus tax
- EPCOT: $169-$249 plus tax
- Disney’s Hollywood Studios: $269-$349 plus tax
- Magic Kingdom: $329-$449 plus tax
Now, just over a month after the Premier Pass was announced, it seems like Disney has adjusted those ranges.
The Premier Pass Price Comes Down
Looking at the Lightning Lane Premier Pass schedule, we can see that the price for certain parks falls below the aforementioned price range on select dates.
For example, on December 9, guests can purchase an EPCOT Lightning Lane Premier Pass for $149. That is $20 lower than the price range floor that Disney initially announced.
In a similar fashion, guests can acquire a Lightning Lane Premier Pass for Disney’s Animal Kingdom on December 10 for just $119. That number is $10 lower than the floor of the previously announced Animal Kingdom price range.
Finally, and perhaps most surprisingly, guests can get a Lightning Lane Premier Pass for Disney’s Hollywood Studios on December 8 for $249 per guest. That number is $20 lower than the park’s previous minimum price.
Magic Kingdom Has Not Been Affected
Notably, we have yet to see Magic Kingdom Lightning Lane Premier Pass prices drop below the $329 minimum that Disney initially announced.
As the park offers guests the most Lightning Lane opportunities, it is clearly the best bang for your buck. To that end, it would be surprising if Disney dropped Magic Kingdom prices.

Overall, however, the lower prices indicate that Disney is still making adjustments to the new Lightning Lane tier and analyzing guest demand.
