PHOTOS: Construction Continues on Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows
As crazy as it seems, we are just months away from the official opening of Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows!
When the new DVC resort opens on December 17, 2024, it will bring with it an island-themed haven that guests can explore, experience, and relax in.
If you have been reading along here at MickeyBlog, then you know that we have been closely following the construction of Island Tower.
The last time we checked in on the progress of the DVC resort, Disney had unveiled the new Moana splash pad, which will debut alongside Island Tower’s Cove Pool.
Now, we are back with another update!
Cove Pool Is Coming Together
When passing by Island Tower today, we were able to see that significant progress has been made at Cove Pool, where lounge chairs have now been installed.
In the distance, you can see the Moana splash pad.
Here is another look at the chairs.
The pool itself looks done…
…though construction work is still being performed in the area.
Wailulu Bar & Grill
As you can see, progress has also been made on the Wailulu Bar & Grill.
Here is another look.
When completed, Wailulu Bar & Grill will serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Additionally, it will offer a walk-up pool bar and grill!
Construction Continues on the Tower Itself
While Island Tower is set to open in less than a month, crews are still working hard on the building itself.
Above, we could see work continuing on the Island Tower tropical terrace hideaways.
Here is a look at some crane work.
Construction vehicles remain lined up on the tower’s side.
As always, be sure to check back with MickeyBlog. We will continue to update you on the progress of Island Tower as the DVC resort nears completion.
