runDisney Announces the Villainous Return of the Disneyland Halloween Half Marathon Weekend
While the rest of the country is busting out their Christmas trees, decking the halls, and getting ready for the holidays, runDisney is already looking ahead to next Halloween.
Today, Disney announced that the Disneyland Halloween Half Marathon Weekend will return to Disneyland from September 4 -7, 2025.
The four days of events will include yoga, kids races, a 5K, a 10K, a Half Marathon and a Challenge, all centered around Disney’s delightfully devious villains.

Here is what runDisney has in store for participants.
2025 Halloween 5K (Ursula)
The sea witch Ursula will host the 2025 Disneyland Halloween 5K.
Runners will make their way through Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure for the 3.1-mile adventure!
2025 Disneyland Halloween 10K (Cruella de Vil
The Disneyland Halloween 10K will be themed after Cruella de Vil.
Runners will travel 6.2 miles through Disneyland and Disney California Adventure on this villainous course.
2025 Disneyland Halloween Half Marathon (Maleficent)
The mistress of evil herself, Maleficent, will play host to the 2025 Disneyland Halloween Half Marathon.
Guests will have to avoid the sorceress’s curse as they travel 13.1 miles through Disneyland, Disney California Adventure, and surrounding areas.
2025 Chills & Thrills Challenge (Pain and Panic)
Guests who wish to complete the 2025 Chills & Thrills Challenge will have to run both the 10K and half marathon for a total of 19.3 miles.
If they do, runners will be rewarded with a Pain and Panic medal!
runDisney Kids Races (Captain Hook)
Last but certainly not least, young runners can get into ship shape with Captain Hook at the runDisney Kids’ Races.
The races are open to children under the age of 9 and are broken up by age group!
Registration Opens Next Month
While the 2025 Disneyland Halloween Half Marathon Weekend is still 10 months away, registration will open on December 3, 2024.
