Disney Closes Out D23 Brazil With a Glimpse at the Future of Disney+
D23 Brazil – A Disney Experience concluded yesterday with a presentation by Disney+, that previewed some of the biggest series that the streaming service has in the works.
After a three-day event that shed new light on upcoming projects from Star Wars, Marvel, and Pixar, it was Disney streaming who got the opportunity to warp everything up with a bow.
Here is what we learned from day three at D23: Brazil.
An Update on ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’
The cast of Percy Jackson and the Olympians sent their regards from the set in Vancouver. Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries, Aryan Simhadri, and series co-creator Rick Riordan gave fans a tour of the set, which included a sneak peek at Camp Half-Blood’s Grand Hall, Riptide, Zeus’s Lightning Bolt, Annabeth’s Dagger, and Grover’s Pipes.
Season 2 of Percy Jackson and the Olympians is set to premiere on Disney+ next year.
A Preview of ‘Phineas and Ferb’
Phineas and Ferb are set to return for another 104 days of summer vacation!
Ahead of the animated series’s revival, co-creators Dan Povenmire and Jeff ‘Swampy’ Marsh were joined by Vincent Marella (Phineas Flynn) to surprise attendees with a preview of the upcoming Phineas and Ferb season.
‘The Bear’ and ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Celebrate Their Succes
The Bear stars Colón-Zayas and Lionel Boyce were on hand for the festivities, celebrating the show’s recent award success.
Chandra Wilson and Ames Pickens Jr. from Grey’s Anatomy also took the stage to preview Season 20 of the iconic series.
New Korean Series
For all the K-POP and BTS fans out there, Disney also presented a trailer for the upcoming documentary JUNG KOOK: I’m Still. Additionally, a new Korean series, Light Shop, was featured.
Both shows will premiere on DIsney+.
A Sneak Peek at ‘Alien: Earth’
Last but certainly not least, in a video recorded exclusively for D23 Brazil, Noah Hawley previewed the upcoming Alien: Earth.
The new streaming series will be set three decades before the original Alien film and is expected to premiere soon!
