MickeyBlog is LIVE From the First Disney Jollywood Nights of 2024

It’s the second year of Disney’s newest holiday event — Disney Jollywood Nights!

Hosted by Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Jollywood Nights is a ticketed holiday event like Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, featuring exclusive foods and drinks, rare characters, special entertainment, and more. Let’s see what year two has in store!

We will be updating this post throughout the night, so please continue to check back in with us!

Party Dates & Park Hours

Jollywood Nights takes place on select nights between November 9 and December 21, 2024, from 7:30PM to 12:30AM, although ticketholders can enter the park as early as 6PM — no park reservations necessary!

It requires a separate ticket ranging in price between $159 to $179 per person, with no child ticket prices for this event. 

At the time of writing, only tonight’s Jollywood Nights event is sold out — but we still recommend getting your tickets sooner rather than later. 

It’s time to head into the park!

Crowds

We arrived promptly at Hollywood Studios around 5PM, and as you can see, a line was already forming.

We recommend getting to the park at least 30 to 60 minutes before entry begins at 6PM — that way, you can maximize your bonus hour!

It was not a short line, either.

It’s time to check in, so let’s go!

Map & Checking In

We were able to secure a map as soon as we entered the park.

The map contains all the relevant party info you need to know, including all the spots and times for character meet-and-greets, entertainment, and more.

We visited an event check-in area by Muppet*Vision 3D, where we were given our wristband. 

Other check-in locations were near the front of the park and near Star Wars Launch Bay.

The wristband was your standard wristband, with the Disney Jollywood Nights logo on display.

We also noticed these fun and festive additions to Cast Member name tags!

Attractions

A limited number of attractions are open during Jollywood Nights.

This year, fewer attractions are open, but they should feature lower wait times:

• Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway
• Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith
• Slinky Dog Dash
• Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance (standby line offered)
• The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror

Unlike last year, Rise of the Resistance has a standby line, so you won’t be able to enter a virtual queue. 

Merchandise

Exclusive party merchandise is available at Stage 1 Company Store,

There was a line to enter each store as well as a separate line to purchase event merchandise.

This year, Ollie the jolly gingerbread man is available as a pair of ears…

…a Spirit Jersey…

…a graphic t-shirt…

…a Lug crossbody bag…

…a mug…

…an ornament…

…and a pin.

There is also an Annual Passholder-exclusive Jollywood t-shirt.

Photo Ops

Food & Drinks

Of course, we would be remiss not to talk about all the exclusive food and drinks partygoers can enjoy!

We started with the Agent P Croissant from Trolley Car Cafe.

We’ve also tried the Macaroni and Cheese Croquette…

Characters

If you’re a fan of meeting Disney characters, you need to attend Jollywood Nights! This event is chock full of rare characters you won’t find on a regular day in the parks.

Themed Entertainment

There is a wide variety of entertainment to catch at Jollywood Nights, starting with the throwback 90s and 00s bash held over by Echo Lake. You might also spot Phineas, Ferb, Max Goof as Powerline, Baloo, or King Louie!

The Holiday Fiesta en la Calle can be found in Animation Courtyard from 7:30PM to 12:30AM. This street fair features Latin holiday tunes and appearances from José Carioca and Panchito from The Three Caballeros.

Party with Edna Mode, Frozone, Joy, and other Pixar friends at the new Pixar Disco at Pixar Place.

The Twilight Soirée at the Tip Top Club is located at The Hollywood Tower Hotel. Grab a cocktail and enjoy some swanky holiday music, with performances scheduled at 7:30PM, 8:10PM, 8:50PM, 9:30PM, 10:30PM, 11:10PM, and 11:50PM.

Jazzy Holidays at The Hollywood Brown Derby features a menu of craft cocktails and light bites while a pianist plays holiday tunes. 

You can book a reservation in advance, which we highly recommend. 

And we have to mention the NEW ice skating spectacular — Glisten! This show is located on Hollywood Boulevard, featuring international champion ice skaters performing to songs like “Be Our Guest” and “When You Wish Upon a Star.” 

Performances take place at 8:15PM, 9:15PM, 10:30PM, 11:15PM, and 12:15AM.

Event-Exclusive Entertainment

Unique live entertainment is central to Jollywood Nights, starting with Disney Holidays in Hollywood — a musical starring none other than Kermit and Miss Piggy! This show takes place at the Theater of the Stars at 8:15PM, 9:15PM, 11:15PM, and 12:15AM.

Another popular show is the What’s This? Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas Sing-Along, which is performed at the Hyperion Theater. This show allows guests to sing along to their favorite Nightmare songs at 7:30PM, 8:30PM, 9:30PM, 11:30PM, and 12:30AM.

The returning projection show Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! includes special effects, lasers, fireworks, and music at the Chinese Theatre at 10PM.

Wondermade Sweet Treat

As we exited, Cast Members handed us a sweet treat! This box contains 6 champagne-flavored marshmallows.
