New Eats Arrive at Friar’s Nook for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party

What better way to kick off the holiday season than with more delicious treats from Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas party?

This festive special event has so much to offer, and of course, one of our favorites is the delicious holiday bites.

We stopped by Friar’s Nook at the opening Christmas party and tried out some of the new offerings. 

Friar’s Nook

Friar’s Nook has a delicious menu of sweet and savory items for the holidays.

Guests can indulge in holiday Pot Roast Hot Dogs, Italian Beef Tots, Sugar Cookie Hand Pie, Toasted Marshmallow-Panna Cotta Tart with graham cracker ganache macaron, and Eggnog Shake.

First, we tried the Holiday Pot Roast Hot Dog, which is an all-beef hot dog topped with braised pot roast, Swiss fondue, horseradish mustard, and crispy onions.

This is a tasty and solid hot dog. It stands out thanks to the pieces of pot roast on top, and it’s very tender…it’s also pretty salty. The crispy onion straws add the perfect texture and crunch.

Would we get it again? Absolutely! This hot dog and the one at Casey’s were both pretty solid contenders. 

Next, we indulged in the toasted marshmallow-panna cotta tart with graham cracker ganache macaron. This sweet treat is nice and sweet, with many different textures.

You definitely get marshmallows from the topping, but it’s a little grainy and more of a marshmallow icing. The crust is light and buttery and adds good texture to the overall treat.

How sweet are the snowman details? The scarf and arms are crunchy, and the chocolate macaron is very chewy, but in a good way. 

The outer shell is crunchy, and the salted caramel inside is very sweet. Such a fun combo of flavors and textures!

If you have a sweet tooth, you will want to check this out. It is a really good dessert, but it is very sweet!
