Harrison Ford Could Not Care Less About Disney’s ‘Star Wars’ and ‘Indiana Jones’ Attractions

Between his portrayal of Han Solo in the Star Wars franchise and his turn in Indiana Jones, Harrison Ford has been the star of some of the biggest franchises in movie history.

The impact of his films on popular culture is shown through the fact that numerous Disney attractions are based on Ford’s characters.

Whether you are visiting Disneyland, where Star Tours, Indiana Jones Adventure, and Millenium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run all have direct connections to Ford, or = Disney World, which will soon get its own Indiana Jones attraction to complement the Star Wars rides, Harrison Ford has a major presence in Disney’s parks.

As it turns out, however, the often cantankerous Hollywood legend could care less.

Harrison Ford’s Thoughts on Disney Attractions

In a recent interview with the New York Post, Ford’s Shrinking co-star Jessica Williams recalled the time she tried to discuss the theme park attractions with the actor.

“When I got on that new Star Wars ride at Disneyland I laughed like a kid. I felt like a kid. And genuinely in conversation with Harrison and a couple of people I said, ‘Have you been on the new Star Wars ride?’ And then I remembered. I realized. Like, oh [shoot], he also has an Indiana Jones ride there,” she recalled.

“And I was like, ‘Do you know about those? Have you been on those?’ And he was just like, ‘No.’”

According to Williams, Ford was so ambivalent about the topic that she became embarrassed.

“Naturally the conversation went to that point and I was so embarrassed. I was so embarrassed,” she went on. “And then I realized the Indiana Jones. He’s in that ride. It was weird.”
