Disneyland Wait Times for November 2024
At The Happiest Place on Earth, it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas.
That’s either music to your ears or the sound of sadness, depending on whether you prefer Halloween or Christmas at the parks.
MickeyBlog’s staff engaged in an Anchorman-esque brawl about this very subject last year, which shows how passionate we all are.
There’s just something about Disney during the holidays, and fans know it.
That’s why we should expect larger crowds at the time of year…but did we?
Here are the average wait times at Disneyland Resort for November 2024.
About Disneyland Resort
I’m happy to report that the holiday season has officially begun in earnest. Check the calendar if you don’t believe me!
We just celebrated Halloween. By the time you read this, there will be no sign of the spooky season at the parks, though.
Instead, Disneyland has already been redecorated as Cast Members worked late into the night of All Hallow’s Eve.
No, they weren’t doing anything devilish. In fact, it was wholly the opposite.
Disney’s magical elves worked hard to deliver the holiday spirit as early as possible.
So, the change started at the close of business on October 31st. By November 1st, Disneyland already looked like Christmas.
While the holiday season doesn’t officially begin until November 15th, 2024, the conversion starts as soon as people exit the Oogie Boogie Bash.
For our purposes, we’ll care more about the Oogie Boogie Bash today, though.
That party sold out all its dates MONTHS before the parties started.
Disney fans count down the days until the Halloween season starts at Disneyland.
Not coincidentally, the October crowds surge since everyone is ready to celebrate the holiday.
Sure, some people jump the gun and do it in August and September, but October is the real spooky season.
We’ll track that with wait times.
About Disneyland Park
Since the Oogie Boogie Bash takes place at Disney California Adventure, it has a weird impact at Disneyland Park.
Typically, the park empties as closing time approaches. However, the reverse applies during Halloween season.
Since DCA closes early for the party, the guests with Park Hopper switch to Disneyland, inflating its nighttime waits.
So, the average wait times generally remain higher because there’s not that nighttime drop.
Average Wait Times at Disneyland Park

Average Wait Times at Disney California Adventure
The same factor, the Oogie Boogie Bash, impacts Disney California Adventure, too.
Since the park closes early, it doesn’t have those nighttime drops that usually lower the full day’s average for an attraction.
Also, the popular Halloween overlays increase attendance throughout the day, as they’re not exclusive to the party.
So, the October wait times are generally longer than September’s. Was that the case this past month?
Here are the average wait times at DCA:
- Radiator Springs Racers – 78 minutes, up 13
