Olaf’s Holiday Tradition Expedition Scavenger Hunt Is Returning to EPCOT This Year — Here’s How to Play

With the holiday season set to kick off in earnest at Walt Disney World in just a matter of days, we are beginning to learn more and more about the festive fun that Disney has planned for guests this year.

Earlier today, we brought you the news that Christmas has come early to DinoLand U.S.A., where decorations have arrived for the 75th Annual Dino Institute Holiday Party.

Now, I want to turn your attention to EPCOT, where a fan-favorite holiday activity is set to return this year!

Olaf’s Holiday Tradition Expedition Scavenger Hunt

When the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays kicks off on November 29, the yearly holiday extravaganza will see the return of Olaf’s Holiday Tradition Expedition scavenger hunt.

For those who don’t know, the Frozen-themed scavenger hunt lets guests explore the World Showcase and learn about holiday traditions from around the world.

A fan-favorite activity, Olaf’s Holiday Tradition Expedition scavenger hunt is the perfect way to spend some family time at EPCOT this holiday season. Here is how the scavenger hunt works.

How to Play

Guests will begin their journey by purchasing their map and stickers from select merchandise locations. This year, the kit costs $9.99 and can be found at World Traveler and Creations Shop, among other stores.

After acquiring their kit, guests are ready to set out on an adventure. Using the stickers on their map, they must mark the “tradition” that Olaf has found at each World Showcase pavilion.

When the task is completed, guests can return their map to Disney Traders, World Traveler, or Creations Shop and receive a gift worth melting for! Adventurers can get their prize, even if they have not found all of the holiday traditions.

It should be noted that guests can only purchase 5 game scavenger kits each. Additionally, guests will receive one prize per map they turn in (completed or not). The maps can be redeemed from November 29 through December 30, 2024, while supplies last.
