Disney Donates Two Attraction Vehicles to the National Roller Coaster Museum and Archives
Two Disney attraction vehicles have recently been added to the National Roller Coaster Museum and Archives (NRCMA) in Texas.

Disney parks donated a highly themed arrow development vehicle from Magic Kingdom’s Snow White’s Scary Adventure and a Mystic Rides bumper car from the Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters attraction at DisneyQuest.

“Our partnership with Disney parks has been incredible over the last several years. We started with a Matterhorn vehicle celebrating the birth of the modern steel roller coaster,” Jeff Novotny, NRCMA chairman, said.
“With this Snow White vehicle and unique Astro Blaster car, the museum collection is expanding assets that showcase the importance of storytelling in the theme park industry.”

Located in Plainsville, Texas, the National Roller Coaster Museum and Archives (NRCMA) is a 20,000 sq. ft. building nestled on five acres of land.
The museum has a mission to “discover, preserve, interpret and share the historical heritage of the roller coaster for present and future generations.” The addition of these new ride vehicles helps in presering this aspect of history “one ride at a time.”
The Attractions
Snow White’s Scary Adventure was located in Fantasyland and retired in 2012.
Buzz Lightyear’s Astro Blasters was a popular attraction that operated similar to classic bumper cars, but with the added fun of balls that you could launch from the vehicle.
DisneyQuest officially closed in 2017.

The NRCMA board hopes to become part of an established universal effort to make the public and industry aware of the importance of preserving its heritage. The museum actively works to protect these artifacts and make them accessible to those who love roller coasters and amusement parks.
