Alan Menken Is Bringing His Treasure Trove of Classic Disney Songs to London
Disney Legend Alan Menken is heading to the United Kingdom for his first-ever solo show next year, bringing with him a treasure trove of classic Disney songs.
The one-off concert, which will take place on the London Palladium stage on March 9, promises an evening of magic, music, and storytelling.
For Disney fans, the concert will be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to hear their favorite songs performed by the man who composed them.
Menken’s Legendary Disney Career
Among the films that Menken composed music for are The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Hercules, Enchanted, and Tangled.
The composer would also pen the score for Captain America: The First Avenger.
For his many contributions to The Walt Disney Company, Menken was named a Disney Legend in 2001.
A Once-in-a-Lifetime Concert
Now, the man who helped give the world “Be Our Guest,” “A Whole New World,” and “Colors of the Wind” is coming to London.
“I’m absolutely thrilled to be performing at the iconic London Palladium on March 9. It’s an incredible honour to bring my music to such a historic venue. To be doing my very first solo show in the UK makes it even more special,” Menken told MyLondon.
“I can’t wait to share the stories and songs that have been a part of my journey with such an amazing audience. London has always held a special place in my heart, and this show will be unforgettable!”
