New Wider Gates Coming to Disney California Adventure’s Entrance
If you’re heading to Disney California Adventure soon, you might notice some changes at the park’s entrance! The left-side entrance gates are currently closed as Disney prepares to install brand new wider gates, specifically designed to enhance guest convenience and accessibility.

Earlier this year, Disney began testing these new wider gates to ensure they would meet the needs of guests using ECVs (electric conveyance vehicles) and strollers. These new gates are not only wider but are built to allow for smoother entry, making it easier for families with strollers, guests with mobility aids, and others with larger equipment to access the park without hassle.
While a portion of the main entrance is temporarily closed, guests can continue to enjoy seamless access to the park. Disney has yet to announce an exact reopening date for these new wider gates, but with construction underway, guests can look forward to a more accessible experience in the near future.
This upgrade is part of Disney’s ongoing commitment to creating a welcoming, inclusive environment for all guests.
