The holidays are coming! And if you are anything like us, you are ready and excited for this festive time of year.
Winter fun and gingerbread sweets are already upon us, and over the next few weeks, the Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort will set the backdrop for some amazing holiday creations.
It is the time of year for the fantastic Gingerbread Displays!
These ginger goodies are not only amazing visuals, but they are a fun Disney tradition that reflects the talent and artistry of the talented bakery teams. Let’s check out the must-see gingerbread offerings!
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge Gingerbread Display
This year, a returning favorite is coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. The life-size baby gingerbread giraffe and baby zebra are returning for the holidays.
Starting November 24th, this sweet treat features Ginger, the baby giraffe, and Deborah, the baby zebra. These displays stand 7 feet tall and feature a combination of gingerbread, sugar, dough, and modeling chocolate.
There are also some new elements this year! Guests can purchase a limited-edition pin, cookie jar, and Holiday ornament, all inspired by Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge.
While you are here, enjoy some delicious holiday eats, including the Gingeraffe cookie and specialty cocktails.
Grand Floridian Resort & Spa Gingerbread Display
The gingerbread house at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa is celebrating 25 years. Beginning November 6, guests can experience the iconic house created with white chocolate, candy canes, edible snowflakes, sugar, poinsettias, and an 88 pound white chocolate Santa.
This house is amazing, and the gingerbread alone is baked with 1050 pounds of honey, 800 pounds of flour, and 600 pounds of confectioner sugar. Talk about a sweet treat!
The decorations also feature 700 pounds of chocolate and 10,000 pieces of gingerbread. The baking team commits over 500 hours to baking the gingerbread, and 480 hours are needed to bring it all to life.
In honor of the 25th anniversary of this holiday tradition, the gingerbread display is also home to 25 hidden Mickeys.
Fans can also purchase limited edition, 25th-anniversary merchandise, including a pin, cookie jar, magnet, ornament, and more.

Disney Beach Club Resort Gingerbread Display
Disney’s Beach Club Resort is home to one of the most impressive displays: the life-size Holiday Carousel. For over 24 years, this sweet display has delighted guests, and our favorite part? It actually spins!
Every year, the horses are decorated for a different theme, and this year will reflect the characters from Mickey’s Christmas Carol.
This sweet display is created with a combination of chocolate, sugar, and fondant, hand-painted characters, and handcrafted details.
Even more impressive are the 432 pounds of honey, 200 pounds of icing, 100 pounds of eggs, and 2024 pieces of gingerbread. Also, keep your eyes open for 24 hidden gold Mickeys!
Guests can shop for limited-edition pins, cookie jars, and holiday ornaments!

If you love the fun and nostalgia of the BoardWalk, you will love the miniature gingerbread display at Disney’s Boardwalk Inn. The Boardwalk Deli gingerbread house is up for guests on November 12.
This year, guests can shop for a limited edition pin, cookie jar, and Holiday ornaments!

Disney’s Contemporary Resort Gingerbread Display
Starting November 8th, the Castle Display arrives at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. This amazing display, which is available on the fourth floor of the resort, returns for its 13th year. But this year, Imagineers have designed a brand new overlay inspired by Cinderella’s Castle Dream Lights.
This display stands over 17 feet tall and 20 feet wide and is made with 613 pounds of sugar, 1013 pounds of flour, 113 pounds of gingerbread spice, and so much more.
There are also 13 hidden Mickeys and the iconic five-legged goat. Guests can purchase limited edition pins, cookie jars, and a holiday ornament here.

Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa Gingerbread Display
Guests will love the gingerbread replica of Disney’s Californian Hotel and Spa featuring Chip ‘n’ Dale in their pajamas!
Located in the lobby, this display stands at 7 feet tall and 12 feet wide and was created with 600 pounds of gingerbread, 600 pounds of powdered sugar, 250 pounds of fondant, and 25 hidden Mickeys.

The Haunted Mansion Holiday, inspired by “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas,” features a must-see gingerbread display. Dr. Finkelstein and his trusted assistant Igor have created this Gigantic Gingerbread Zombie, Lil’ Franky.
This stunning design is created with 60 pounds of gingerbread, 50 pounds of powdered sugar, 10 pounds of egg whites, 30 pounds of rolled fondant, 10 pounds of chocolate, and 2 hidden Mickeys. Amazing!
