REVIEW: Breakfast Has Arrived at Satu’li Canteen in Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
There’s one spot in Disney’s Animal Kingdom where you can get a truly unique meal that’s nothing like traditional theme park food — and that’s Satu’li Canteen!

Satu’li Canteen
Satu’li Canteen serves up international-inspired dishes featuring whole grains, fresh veggies, and hearty proteins, inspired by the world of Pandora from Avatar. One of our favorite dishes is the Cheeseburger Steamed Pods!
As we reported yesterday, Satu’li Canteen is debuting a breakfast menu today, so we headed to Animal Kingdom to check it out!
Breakfast at Satu’li Canteen
We arrived at Satu’li Canteen bright and early this morning at 8AM, which is also when Animal Kingdom opened to the public.
Breakfast is served from 8AM to 10AM today. We recommend checking the My Disney Experience app to verify the hours! Mobile Order was available too.

Satu’li Canteen
We ended up ordering three different entrees and a drink!

Let’s start with the Tropical Pandoran Forest Fruits, which comes with fresh yogurt, muesli, and honey for $11.99.
We were served a super generous portion, so this is definitely a shareable dish.

Tropical Pandoran Forest Fruits
It had a lovely mix of fruits in the muesli, yogurt, and honey combo, including raisins and apples that added a nice, crisp texture.
The granola added a bit of sweetness with its dried fruits and pineapple.

Tropical Pandoran Forest Fruits
The sauce had a blueberry flavor that was sweet and subtle, and the fruits were super fresh.
We really enjoyed this dish, and it’s a great option for anyone who’s not in the mood for traditional theme park fare. We enjoyed all the textures and it didn’t feel heavy.

Tropical Pandoran Forest Fruits
Next up is the Slow-roasted Pork Shoulder Potato Hash, which comes with chorizo sausage and charred onion sauce for $13.29.
This was absolutely delicious with a lot of layers of flavor.

Slow-roasted Pork Shoulder Potato Hash
The chorizo had a great sear and a little kick of spice that was enjoyable. The green onion sauce was very onion-prominent but in a good way, with a kind of pesto-like consistency. It added a nice cooling balance to the spice.

Slow-roasted Pork Shoulder Potato Hash
There was also a good mix of vegetables like tomatoes and peppers mixed in with the potatoes and shredded pork shoulder.

Moving on, the Cinnamon French Toast is served with blueberry cream cheese, passion fruit anglaise, and sausage for $12.99.
The blueberry cream cheese was fantastic and tasted very fresh. We spread some over our toast so we could get a little in every bite!

Cinnamon French Toast
The passion fruit anglaise was light and not at all subtle like we expected, with a tiny bit of extra sweetness.
Note that we were offered maple syrup on the side but it’s by request only.

Cinnamon French Toast
This French toast is unique in that it’s not crispy and fried, but rather a light, soft bread, so make sure you don’t order this expecting something crunchy. It reminded us more of a thick slice of raisin bread or king cake.
There was a great amount of cinnamon and we really enjoyed it!

And finally, the Pandoran Sunrise is described as a refreshing mix of Simply Pineapple Juice and Simply Limeade with Powerade Melon for $5.79. This was a good little pick-me-up that was light and refreshing and not overly sweet, plus it has electrolytes!

Pandoran Sunrise
Overall, we think breakfast is a fantastic addition to Satu’li! They’ve always had unique options but this was a nice break from other breakfast offerings typically available around the park. Each dish was delicious without being overly heavy or filling. We definitely recommend giving it a try!
