Disney Surprises Military Veteran With the Trip of a Lifetime
Southern California veteran David Negreros was recently nominated to receive a trip to Disneyland Resort by Goodwill of Orange County’s Tierney Center for Veteran Services.
The nomination recognized his dedication and selflessness while serving in the Marine Corps in Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Thanks to Disney, David and his family were able to spend the day at Disneyland, meeting characters, enjoying the sights, and riding iconic attractions.
However, as it turns out, a trip to the Happiest Place on Earth wasn’t all that Disney had in store for David.
A Disney Cruise Line Surprise
After taking a ride on Haunted Mansion Holiday, David and his family were surprised to learn that they would be sailing onboard the Disney Treasure. The Disney Cruise Line’s newest vessel is set to make its maiden voyage later this year!
As you can see, the family was all smiles when they heard the news! Mickey and Minnie even made an appearance in their Halloween finest to share the good news!
While at Disneyland, David also participated in a commemorative flag retreat on Main Street, U.S.A. The Disney tradition honors U.S. veterans,
With his military career now over, David devotes his time to helping other veterans transition out of the military through veteran vocational programs and resource centers. After giving so much for his fellow citizens, it’s great to see Disney honor David. Hopefully, he will enjoy his trip on the Disney Treasure. He deserves it.
