Lightning Lane Premier Pass Officially Launches at Walt Disney World
A new chapter in Walt Disney World history is unfolding before our eyes today, as Disney has officially launched the new Lightning Lane Premier Pass.
Available now to guests staying at Walt Disney World Deluxe Resorts, Deluxe Villa Resorts, and other select hotels, the new Lightning Lane tier allows guests a one-time entry to each Lightning Lane experience in one of Disney World’s four theme parks.

As an added bonus, guests do not need to schedule their arrivals for each Lightning Lane attraction. They can simply show up and ride!
The Lightning Lane Premier Pass Can Be Purchased in the My Disney Experience App
Beginning today, eligible guests can purchase the Lightning Lane Premier Pass in the My Disney Experience app.

A new informational screen explains how the new Lightning Lane pass works.

It should be noted that eligible guests can purchase their Lightning Lane Premiere Passes up to 7 days before the first day of their resort stay starting at 7:00 AM ET.
Disney also made sure to list all of the eligible resort hotels.

After confirming that you are eligible to purchase a Lightning Lane Premier Pass, you can choose your theme park.
Our First Look at Pricing
As you can see, the cost of the pass varies drastically depending on the park you visit. Magic Kingdom is far and away the most expensive Lightning Lane Premier Pass. It is followed by Disney’s Hollywood Studios, EPCOT, and finally, Animal Kingdom.
- Magic Kingdom: $329 per guest
- EPCOT: $169 per guest
- Disney’s Hollywood Studios: $269 per guest
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom: $129 per guest

Based on the price ranges that Disney previously announced, today’s prices look to be on the lower end of the spectrum
