Eight Reasons You’ll Love Staying at Disney’s Beach Club
MickeyBlog stresses that you should always stay at an official Disney resort.
You’ll discover superior amenities, many of which fundamentally elevate your vacation satisfaction.

And Disney’s philosophy is straightforward. Any hotel with the Disney name in it must be excellent.
That’s the baseline, and the resort options get better from there when you pay for Deluxe Tier.

Disney’s Beach Club Resort
Here are eight reasons you’ll love staying at Disney’s Beach Club Resort.
The Beach Vibe

Nobody does theming like Disney, even with a concept as generic as beachfront hotels.
Disney has taken the extraordinary step of building an artificial lake in the area and then populating it with sand.

So, when you start seeing the beach, you know that you’re approaching the hotel.
Once you enter the hotel, you’ll notice all sorts of stately décor, but the location is still homey.

This is a luxury resort, and you’ll know it as you explore the facilities.
Still, the beachy vibe is tangible throughout the Beach Club campus.

My favorite part is that Disney built a ship for the sole purpose of wrecking it.
The area around the shipwreck is quite popular and features ample seating. So, you can grab a beach chair and enjoy the views, which feature a lighthouse in the distance.
The BoardWalk

On the other side of the beach, you’ll find Disney’s Boardwalk.
You can access this location by walking across a bridge near the Beach Club campus.

You can also take the absurdly over-the-top option, which is a boat ride across the bay.
You’ll wait ten minutes for about two minutes of boating, but the view is pristine.

On the Boardwalk, you’ll find some of Disney’s best restaurants, shops, and bars.
There are even two nightclubs where you can nurture a beverage and enjoy some live entertainment.

This is a full-fledged entertainment complex that’s just a five-minute walk from your hotel.
I especially recommend Flying Fish, which some consider to be one of Orlando’s best restaurants.

Tourists will enjoy the magic-themed AbracadaBar as well.
The Buffet and Character Meal

Speaking of great restaurants, Cape May Café is a short walk from the hotel lobby.
You’ll know you’re approaching the restaurant when you smell the seafood. It’s unmistakably pungent.

At breakfast, you’ll enjoy Minnie’s Breakfast Beach Bash, a charming character meal hosted by Minnie herself.
She and Daisy Duck will roam from table to table, as do some of their other Sensational Six friends.

Since this meal is All-You-Care-To-Enjoy, you can fill up on all the Mickey Waffles you want or, if you’re like me, load up on bacon and sausage to start your day.
At dinner, the restaurant transforms into a seafood establishment that provides some of the best value at Disney.

I don’t need to tell you that seafood has become an expensive delicacy, so a Disney-caliber seafood buffet is a rare treat.
The Peasant Food

The Marketplace at Disney’s Beach Club Resort
Consider this a bit tongue-in-cheek, as these are the two places you’re most likely to find me dining at Beach Club.
The first batch of food is located at Beach Club Marketplace.

This place features a rather fascinating setup, with Disney apparel on one side, kitschy merchandise in the middle, and a crowd-pleasing restaurant on the other side.
The star dish here is the flatbread, but you can also order hot dogs, sandwiches, and grinders.
Since this is a Quick Service establishment, the food is cheap, and I’ve grabbed more than one bounty platter here at breakfast.

Then, we have one of my favorite restaurants at Walt Disney World, Beaches & Cream Soda Shop.

I was part of that lost generation of kids who grew up on Happy Days reruns, so this restaurant is the closest I’ll ever come to eating at Arnold’s.
Fonzie won’t hit the jukebox here to make it play, but there IS a jukebox.

More importantly, there are burgers, fries, and milkshakes.
Please never disrespect this restaurant by failing to order ice cream.

You wouldn’t do it at Baskin-Robbins, so you shouldn’t do it here.
I’m contractually obligated to mention the Kitchen Sink, the most decadent of Disney desserts.

Here is the comically long list of ingredients.
The Secret Entrance
Earlier, I mentioned how close you are to Disney’s Boardwalk. Well, that’s not the only thing.
Are you familiar with the International Gateway?

That’s the official name for what was informally known as EPCOT’s secret entrance.
Since the introduction of the Disney Skyliner, more guests are aware of it.

Thankfully, Disney has scaled up so that the International Gateway accommodates all the new traffic.
When you walk ten minutes from Beach Club to the International Gateway, you’ll enter EPCOT at the back of the World Showcase.

You’re basically equidistant from the France and United Kingdom pavilions.
So, you can leave your hotel room and stand in line at Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure in 15-20 minutes.

Regarding logistics, Beach Club is arguably the best at Disney World.
The Skyliner Access

EPCOT Entrance – Disney Skyliner
On the way to the International Gateway, you walk pass the entrance to the Disney Skyliner.
So, it’s an even shorter walk from Beach Club to this transportation option.

EPCOT Skyliner station
The gondola system will connect to four other hotels and, most importantly, Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
You’ll enjoy a scenic ride into the sky as your gondola lifts you over the World Showcase, thereby revealing parts of the pavilions you’ve never noticed.
Stormalong Bay

In case you haven’t heard, Beach Club hosts the best pool at Disney World… or anywhere, really.
I often describe Stormalong Bay as a mini water park, because that’s a more accurate term than “pool.”

The sand bottom mirrors the underlying beachy theme, but you don’t need to be active.
This pool also features an extended lazy river, where you’ll often find me.

Disney thoughtfully adds children’s activities in one area, providing a bit of seclusion for adults on the other side.
There’s even a poolside bar and grill named Hurricane Hanna’s here, so you can order lunch and/or nurture a beverage while relaxing by the pool.

To many fans, Stormalong Bay is THE amenity at Beach Club, and I’m in this camp.
When we stay at Beach Club, we know we’ll have at least one pool day.
The Ticket Options: Premier Pass and Extended Evening Hours

Finally, we have two ticket options available only to guests staying at Deluxe Tier resorts.
On one or two nights a week, people staying at Beach Club gain exclusive access to a theme park that is otherwise closed to guests.

In other words, the only people standing in line will be other guests at Deluxe Tier resorts.
You can probably even ride Tron Lightcycle / Run in a matter of minutes.

Then, we have Disney’s newest option, the Lightning Lane Premier Pass.
This one will cost you a tidy sum, but it will give you exclusive Lightning Lane access at any attraction at any time.

There’s a one-ride-per-day limit, but this pass guarantees you can do anything you want during your visit.
Currently, the only people who can buy this pass are guests staying at Deluxe Tier resorts.

Between the two amenities, you’ll have the run of Disney theme parks, assuring you’ll have the most magical vacation.
