‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ Finally Gets a Disney+ Release Date
After dominating the box office this summer on its way to becoming the highest-grossing R-rated film of all time, Deadpool & Wolverine now has its sights on streaming.
The third installment in the Deadpool franchise saw the long-awaited team-up of Ryan Reynold’s Merc with the Mouth and Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine.
Not only did the film manage to pull the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) back from the precipice of disaster, but it also brought audiences back to theaters in an unprecedented fashion. At the time of this writing, the film has grossed $1.3 billion at the global box office and surpassed Barbie to become the 12th-highest-grossing film ever domestically.
A swan song for the 20th Century Fox X-Men universe, Deadpool & Wolverine was lauded by critics and fans alike for its humor, heart, and cast of returning familiar faces. In addition to Reynolds and Jackman, the film saw the return of Jennifer Garner’s Elektra, Daphne Keen’s X-23, Wesley Snipes’ Blade, and Chris Evans’s Johnny Storm.
When Will ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ Hit Disney+
After its historic box office run, the Shawn Levy-directed blockbuster continued its hot streak by setting records on digital platforms.
Now, fans will finally get a chance to re-live Deadpool & Wolverine’s epic adventure when the film arrives on Disney+ on November 12.
The release date was announced as part of a Marvel sizzle reel that also teased the 2025 releases of Daredevil: Born Again, Ironheart, and Wonder Man.
While we will have to wait and see how the film fares on the streamer, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Deadpool & Wolverine conquer yet another distribution channel.
