This week, the long-awaited Cake Bake Shop FINALLY opened at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, and fans turned out in droves to taste-test all the sweet, delicious confections.

Of course, most Disney fans are accustomed to making advance dining reservations for their table-service meals — PARTICULARLY for those brand-new hotspots where tables can be hard to come by.
But if you were planning to make an advance dining reservation for The Cake Bake Shop anytime soon, you won’t be able to do it through the My Disney Experience app OR the Disney website.

If you thought My Disney Experience was the ONLY way to book ahead for your favorite Disney World restaurants, here’s a tip: SOME popular sit-down restaurants (like Wine Bar George at Disney Springs and Jiko — The Cooking Place at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Resort, for example) ALSO accept advance reservations through OpenTable.
