Work Begins on the Gingerbread House at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort
As we have seen over the last couple of weeks, Disney is already getting a jump-start on the holiday season, and it’s beginning to look (a little) like Christmas at Walt Disney World.
Yesterday, for example, we brought you the exciting news that Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort was already making preparations for this year’s gingerbread house.

In case you didn’t know, Disney World’s flagship resort has been creating a massive gingerbread house that has awed and delighted millions of visitors for 25 years now.
Yesterday, when we stopped by the Grand Floridian, space was being cleared in the lobby.
Here is another look at the preparations. As you can see, tiles were also installed on the floor.

Preparations began yesterday.
Now, it is my pleasure to report that construction on the gingerbread has officially begun!
Gingerbread House Construction Is Underway
Bakery artisans and construction crews are already working hard in the Grand Floridian lobby, building this year’s gingerbread house!

The building’s infrastructure is currently being installed before the gingerbread festivities begin in earnest.

Here is another look at the infrastructure of the house.

As you can see, construction crews are on hand to ensure everything is installed correctly.

The entire area is roped off. A sign out front notes that Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa Gingerbread House is coming soon!
The Holidays Are Coming
With just two days until Halloween, the holiday season will arrive in full at Walt Disney World before we know it.
Soon, the smell of gingerbread will be wafting through the Grand Floridian Resort’s lobby, and we can all watch another masterpiece come to life.

Christmas is coming!
I, for one, can’t wait to see what the resort cooks up this year!
