Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort Announces $140 Million Renovation Project
Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin is undergoing a major transformation. The luxury resort is getting the largest makeover in its 25-year history and will transform every guest room on property.
The resort has launched a multi-phase, multi-year, $140 million redesign project that will transform the 758-room Swan Hotel and the 1,509-room Dolphin Hotel.
Celebrating 25 Years
General Manager Fred Sawyers shared:
As we celebrate the resort’s 25th anniversary, it is appropriate that we mark the occasion with a renaissance of our room product. Our guests will continue to receive the level of service and hospitality that comes with a quarter century of experience while enjoying a modern new guest room.
Guests visiting the resorts will not experience any disruptions to their vacation, and the resort’s public spaces, restaurants, meeting rooms, shops, pools, and recreational areas will not be impacted.
The goal is to keep everything fully operational throughout the transformation.
Disney Swan and Dolphin New Room Design
The new rooms’ concept was inspired by the resort’s water-themed architecture. It will feature a color palette of whites, blues, and grays.
The new look will create a serene and sophisticated atmosphere with upgraded furniture, new technology, and more ways to incorporate personal electronics.
Noted hotel and condominium interior design and architecture firm Garcia Stromberg/GS4 Studios, designers of the Conrad Hotel Ft. Lauderdale, the Waldorf Astoria’s Boca Beach Club and One Thousand Ocean condominium in Boca Raton, Fla., are the designers behind the new concept.
The room’s centerpiece is the famous Westin Heavenly Bed, which features an all-white custom-designed pillow-top mattress set, cozy down blanket, crisp sheets, a goose-down comforter, and four overstuffed pillows. Luxurious and comfortable!
The updated design seamlessly flows into a new bathroom with a back-lit mirror mounted on iridescent glass tiles.
The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort renovation is currently scheduled for completion by the end of 2017.
