Disney Brings Fun and Reverse Trick-or-Treating to Children and Hospitals
Halloween is just a few days away and chances are you are getting ready with costumes and candy! But for many children dealing with serious illnesses in hospitals, trick-or-treating in their neighborhood just isn’t an option.
But no worries! Disney is stepping in and bringing all of the Halloween fun with reverse trick-or-treating!

What is reverse trick-or-treating? You are already familiar with the classic Halloween tradition of going door-to-door and getting treats! Reverse trick-or-treating is all about delivering fun and treats to those who cannot get out and could use a little extra fun.
Starlight Children’s Foundation
Disney has partnered with Starlight Children’s Foundation for over twenty years, bringing treats and happiness to hospitals throughout the United States.

In addition, they deliver themed hospital attire, care packages, and more. Adam Garone, CEO of Starlight Children’s Foundation, shared:
We are so grateful to collaborate with Disney to help hospitalized kids and their families celebrate the Halloween season. Our collaboration allows us to transform the hospital experience for kids across the country through play-centered programs that provide entertainment and positive distraction, bringing smiles to kids when they need it most.
Special Deliveries
Disney VoluntEars and ambassadors work together to bring toys, plush, books, and costumes to Halloween hospital visits.

This year, Disney kicked off an initiative where the company donated a Halloween costume to the foundation for every costume purchased on Disneystore.com.
The purchases unlocked a maximum donation of 20,000 Halloween costumes from Disney.

These amazing costumes also include adaptive costumes and wheelchair wraps, so everybody is included in this special event.
Halloween Fun with Mickey and Minnie
Mickey and Minnie joined the fun and dressed in their Halloween best! They made special appearances at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in Tampa, and Children’s Hospital of Orange County for Children.
The duo did “meet and greets” with patients and spread plenty of Halloween fun. This celebration is part of a 20 year collaboration between Disney and starlight children’s foundation.
